Put your requests out there and ask God for what you want

Believe for what you want. Put yourself out there and stop being afraid like I used to be. Ask God for what it is you want from Him. I'm not saying treat Him like Santa Clause. I'm saying, ask Him to guide your life for fruitfulness, for abundance, and for peace, in order that you can be all you can be to help others. That's what this thing called life is about -- helping ourselves to live our best life and helping others do the same. So, yes we have to put our requests out there and ask God for what we want. Then do what we need to do in the process. We don't just sit and wait. We move and continue to move. Movement makes things happen. "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind" (James 1:6).

We ask God for what we want and we stand on those petitions. We don't waver, we don't toss, and we don't turn. We stand firm. It doesn't matter how long it takes, we just believe He will do it. God has different messages for us depending on our situation. What is necessary for you might not be necessary for me and vice versa. So when we go to Him, we can go with full confidence that He will act simply because we went humbly to Him. It's about putting our requests out there and asking God for what it is we want. We have to be confident in doing that.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
