What types of prayers do you ask for? No, I'm not trying to get all up in your business. Ok ok, better questions would be, are you praying for the things God wants for you or are you praying for the things you want for yourself? In other words, how do you know that what you're asking for is what God wants for you? How do you know that what you're asking for is the best for you? What's your pattern of seeking and finding God's vision over your life? I'm just curious, because sometimes what we think is destiny for us, may not be. That's why we have to pray smart, right?
1 John 5:13-21 talks about that and verse 14 says, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." Now, how do we ask for anything according to His will -- according to what He knows is best for us? Well, I'm finally starting to realize that reading the scriptures gives me revelation over my life. That helps tremendously, because the bible is a living breathing thing that brings life and clarity. The more it's read, the more knowledge and wisdom, which helps determine what's best for our lives. It's a way for God to speak to us and that helps to rely more on Him instead of man. It's about praying smart.
