Do you know the Lord has blessed you with the ability to have peace in your life? Yes, it's true. Hebrews 12:14 says, "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."
Even though everything doesn't line up perfectly in life, the Lord still blesses His people. And we need to all get that revelation for ourselves. Do you know you can speak life to any situation simply, because God blessed you with the ability to do that? It's amazing how many of us don't realize that power He has given us to change our situations.
Of course we don't like it when we're confronted with opposition or adversity, because it causes too much discomfort, pain, or is just inconvenient. Yet, there are times when that pressure is good for us, because it makes us grow and it should make us grow up. As we grow in the Lord, He gives us peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). You heard it said before that resistance makes muscles grow, which is true. And did you know our muscles grow the most at rest? Thus, we can look at opposition and adversity as something that makes us progress more when we're in a "restful" state. Put another way, when we're handling things with a calm spirit, we can be in a posture for muscle (emotional) growth. We are making progress even when we're at rest (peace). Psalm 29:11 says, "May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!"
