I think by now, most of us have heard the phrase, "just do it." Well, how many of us have overthought things so much that we ended up not doing it? I have. I'm just getting to the point in my life where I'm thinking new-level thinking and doing new-level things. And if creative and innovative things in life have to be done, why can't it be you to do them? Why can't it be I? It can be us, because anything is possible for those who believe, Jesus said in Mark 9:23. Do you believe you can do what you were called to do? It starts with belief.
Sometimes we can overthink things and end up not doing anything if we're not careful. That was me for many years. I walked around in fear of doing certain things, because I had a fear of failure and a fear of success. Now I don't let those mindsets hold me back. I just do whatever is in my power to do and the rest...well, I leave that to God to work out on my behalf. The bottom is this: If the Lord put something in our heart to do and we try to wait until everything is lined up perfectly, we may never get it done. So we have to at least take the initial step then another then another. We don't have to do everything all at once and we can't wait for things to be perfect either, because perfect never comes. We may think being a perfectionist is a good thing, but the reality is, lots of perfectionists find themselves miserable and unfulfilled, because nothing will ever be good enough. There's no such thing as perfect.
We have to just step out and do it, not overthink about it anymore. Just take a chance on doing that positive thing you've always thought and dreamed about. I can bet that if it's God-ordained, you and others will be blessed by it. Just do it and it's ok to not understand every little thing. We have to have faith in order to get it done and faith is pleasing to God, and He will fill in the gaps accordingly. Hebrews 11:6 says, "without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." Let's do this thing, because we can do it!
