Belief and prayer equals power

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.

Do you believe and pray for what God has for you? If so, there's power in that. In Mark 11:24 Jesus said, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Belief and prayer equals power.

Let's talk about power, which according to Google, means: "the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or quality" and "the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events." Now, when we put God in that, let me tell you, we are an absolute powerhouse, right? Because when God is in it, there's power in it. It doesn't matter what it is and people will see it all over us. Remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood? It was in Luke 8:43-48Jesus told her, her faith had made her well. Well, that's the deal with us too -- our faith has made us well -- whatever well means for you is for you, because it's all relative. Faith can make anyone well though. So we have to continue on with the power the Lord has given us and we can't let anyone or anything distract us from that power -- from the track we're on. We just can't, because if we do we will lose focus. And we have to maintain focus. We have to focus on what we're doing for the Lord and how we're encouraging others and God will ensure we have all the tools and resources we need to continue on.

Belief in Him, prayer to Him equals the power that He will give us through Him. You get it? So keep your power going and don't let anyone discourage you from continuing on, because you're going to help many people, so stay strong in the Lord.

We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
