I'm going to tell to you the same thing I should have told myself many years ago: don't let impatience get the best of you by rushing progress. Sometimes we have to take advantage of time by using it to the max and sometimes we have to let time use us. What am I saying? I'm saying that sometimes we have to sit, wait, and remain in our position. Sometimes no movement is good, because God may have us in a holding pattern. You know, like a plane on the runway that doesn't move. It's just sitting there and we're like, geez is this plane ever going to take off? Yet there may be a good reason it's not moving and we really should be ok with that. In fact, sometimes the flight may be even cancelled after we've been sitting on it for hours and we have to get off and wait even longer. Again, it's probably a good reason we didn't take off and we may never know why.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:14).
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:14).
I'm starting to realize more and more that it's a good reason I haven't taken off yet and I'm just fine with that. I don't want to rush God. I just want to fly when He says it's the best time, because I want to land safely just like everybody else.
