You Can Handle It

Remember Jesus is still Lord. It doesn't matter what we're going through. We just have to trust in Him with all our heart, and do not rely on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5. When we do that we can sustain anything that comes our way, because our strength comes from the Lord.

I was listening to a sermon by Sarah Jakes-Roberts titled, "Mirror Mirror" and she said God gives us challenges and obstacles in order to develop us. He gives us such things, because that's what He knows we can handle. It's "a reflection of what He thinks of us" says Jakes-Roberts. I never quite heard it put that way, but it does make sense, doesn't it? I agree, because how can we be everything we're supposed to be if we're not strong enough to endure the obstacles that will surely come? How can we help others if we've never been where they've been and if we never had the challenges they've had? You get it?

We will be able to handle it if we've gone through it.

So I totally believe that God will never put more on us than we can bear. We just have to trust Him when it seems our back is against the wall; when it seems all the chips are down; and when it seems our life has been turned upside down. I know from experience that you will get through everything that has been a struggle, a challenge, an obstacle, or anything you may be going through. God is the one and only God of any and everything. Don't think He won't bring you through, because if He can bring me through He can bring you through. You just have to believe Him, listen to Him, read and trust His word (it's paramount that his word is in you), pray without ceasing, and be around the people who will build you up. This is called faith and God will respond faster than you think and in ways you never even imagined. This is what I know.

You can handle it.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
