Paul is at it again in speaking to the saints about how Jesus was there for them in spite of themselves. In Ephesians 2:1-6 Paul said the following:
"It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah."
That should be enough to empower us to do mighty and awesome things, right? What do you wish to do? Apparently you can do it, because Jesus didn't leave any of us by the side of the road, so we are all equipped to do what we need to do. Listen, even before we became new creations, He gave us mercy, incredible love, and embraced us. So whatever it is you want to do in your life, go for it and do it. And if you have to leave others behind, it's a great thing and if they left you, it's a great thing, as well. Because God has work for you to do and that old life of nothingness is gone. Look towards the sky -- set your sights there, because that's where you're going as long as your sights are on the Lord. Yes, God's incredible love is abundant for you and for me.
