Praise and worship

Sometimes we simply have to encourage ourselves in the Lord and if that requires dancing or whatever it is you want to do in Jesus name, do it.

2 Samuel 6:14 says, "and David danced before the Lord with all his might." And guess what? There was absolutely nothing wrong with that. Many of us should take a cue from David by rejoicing and being glad in our circumstances. If we can dance, clap, shout, or whatever, like David danced, we are blessed, because there are some people who can't. Have you ever stopped and thought about that? Sometimes we get down about what we have and don't have when we don't even realize how so blessed we are.

If we can move even a little it, we are blessed in the city and blessed in the field and we should rejoice and be glad about that. I take a fitness class and one of the participants has a problem with one of her feet, yet guess what? She is in the fitness class dancing with complicated exercise moves. What an awesome thing -- not letting what some might see as a disability affect her. At times, she may have a difficult time, but she continues on with a smile on her face.

Haven't we all been through challenging and hard times? Listen, it's a waste of time to just lay around and feel sorry for ourselves. I learned that the hard way, so now I'm here to tell you to get up and get going. There is something you can do to encourage yourself. There is something you can do to get yourself motivated. Even if it's not to literally dance, there is something we can all do to move to the beat of God's music. It's playing constantly. What is it for you? What is your thing? If it's dancing, dance, but whatever it is, when you do it unto the Lord, it will make you feel much better.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
