Faith won

Today I'm standing, because faith won, but there was a time when the lack of faith got the best of me, but not today, not anymore. I wallowed in my grief about certain events that happened or didn't happen in my life and my lack of faith about how God could and would change my life, was getting the best of me. Although I knew what God's word said, I had believed what the world said. I had let the devil have his way with me, so I walked around in a state of despair about what was, not what could be. 

Remember in Genesis 19:26 when the Lord told Lot's wife not to look back? Well, He's telling us the same thing today.  And I'm standing today to tell you to do better than I did. I've come to tell you to walk with your countenance -- your spiritual expression up, not down. Walk with the powerful spirit the Lord has placed in you, because 2 Timothy 1:7/8 says "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline [self-control]. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord..." 

Today I no longer walk in a spirit of weakness, but of strength, because I believe in what the Lord says and I'm walking in that truth. Faith won.

She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards.
