You're Special to God

1 Corinthians 1:28 says, "God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing, things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God." That means don't think for a minute that God can't and won't use you, because of your past or your present. None of what you did or didn't do matters to God. In fact, that's the very reason why He can use you. Do you love Him? Has He intervened in your life? If so, guess what? People can be inspired by your story. I know, because I have a past where I didn't do everything right. And I have experienced being gutter-low and didn't know how I was going to get out of it. I know sadness and I know sorrow. And I know how it feels to be counted out, but God had other plans. That's why this blog is so important. I want to encourage you to believe in yourself, because there was a time when I was of little faith and little confidence. God brought me out of that despair and He does that for anybody. We are special to God, because He loves us and He wants the very best for us. He knows what lives inside of us. So just in case you may be feeling rejected and dejected, know this: God sees you and He has so many great plans for your life. Trust Him and continuously seek Him (Matthew 6:33). Whether anybody understands you or not, it's ok. God understands and that's all that matters.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
