Speak Lord

Back in 2014 I wrote a blog post about hearing from God. The following is some of the original content, with some of my updates.

Romans 8:28 says, "and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Wow, called for His purpose -- I often wonder sometimes how many times I've missed God during certain times of my life when I know good and well I was called and chosen to do His will. As I reflect on the times He has spoken in the ways I clearly missed, I think wow that could have been an opportunity. But the danger in that thinking is that I can get bogged down with living in regret and disappointment. I refuse to reflect with regret and despair. I rather reflect and think of those times as learning milestones, a test for my testimony, and to help me (and others) go to the next level. Yes, it's a conscious choice I make to maintain positive thinking for growth, so I can hear Him when He speaks. And I will never give up, because God has me here for a reason. He has all of us here for a reason and it's not to just exist into nothingness. It's to expand on His thoughts and His kingdom. It's to make a difference in the world while we still can. We can do that by hearing from Him, because that allows us to go with His flow. Then we have to listen. It takes practice and being consistent. It's not too late for any of us to get things right and get things in order for progress and success in the name of Jesus.

Hear what Sha Sha has to say about the Lord speaking. Sha Sha is my avatar, so her face is based on my face and the voice you hear is actually me speaking through her.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
