Power in the Name

There's something about a name, isn't it? Especially the name of Jesus. Why is it that people speak in His name? Well, that's easy to understand. It's because there's power in that name. Proverbs 18:10 says, "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."

Why wouldn't anyone want to be safe? How sad, the ones who don't know Him. I used to be of them, so I know. There was a time when I had nobody to run to during anytime in my life -- the highs or the lows. As a result I didn't realize the power that dwelled in me during pivotal times in my life that would have gotten me through things much faster. Now I know that power for sure and I have something to be thankful for.
