Don't give up on God, ok? I promise you, He won't give up on you.
This faith walk with God is not for the faint-hearted. It's not for the easy-to-give-up people. It's for the ones who are going to stay in the race, which isn't for the swift. It's for the person who is going to carry out the mandates of God no matter how many tests and trials come our way. Or no matter how long it takes. "Suffering" comes with the territory yet peace and comfort come from trusting and believing God as the ruler over our lives. And I can tell you this: God knows what we go through when people may come against us or simply not understand who we are. Don't let that bother you. Just continue on despite what others may say or do. Peter knew this when he said, "dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you." (1 Peter 4:12). "If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you" (1 Peter 4:14).
Did you catch that last part of verse 14? You are still blessed, because God's spirit is still on you. So stay with the Lord and follow Him. He only leads us to the good things that will help us and glorify Him. "So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good" (1 Peter 4:19).
Thus, you're going to be alright, because your Redeemer lives forever and He's got you covered.
