
Well if you have been diligent and consistent, more than likely you should be close to standing with powerful kings (ie, important people who are impacting change). That's right, if you've been doing something for at least 10,000 hours, studies show you're an expert and you are great at your craft because you have practiced for a long time. In the book Outliers, author Malcolm Gladwell says that it takes about 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery in any given field. I did the math regarding how long it would take someone who worked at something for 3 hours everyday, and it would take them about 10 years to reach 10,000 hours. Imagine that.
What's my point? It's simple really -- "the soul of the sluggard [lazy person] craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent [hard/smart worker] is richly supplied (Proverbs 13:4).
