I just got a nice little lesson about S.M.A.R.T Goals.
According to the Smart Goals Guide website, those goals were set up to get people to focus more. The original goals started in the 1980's and have evolved. Now their being talked about worldwide. The current ones are:
S. - Specific
M. - Measurable
A. - Achievable
R. - Realistic
T. – Time based
"In other words when you set a goal you had to ensure it was specific, measurable, assignable, realistic and time based" (Smart Goals Guide). I've written down my goals for a long time now, but this is something I'm going to learn more about. It definitely supports what the word of God says, which is to "write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. "For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay" (Habakkuh 2:2/3).
We have to be smart about it.
