Do you know that every time you say hallelujah you are saying some powerful words?
Do you even realize that?
That's right, from what I hear, hallelujah is one of the highest forms and words of praise. Psalm 150:6 says, "Let every thing that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" That includes you and I. We're not too big to give glory and honor to the Lord for what He's done for us. Be thankful that we exist to be mighty and worthwhile in the world. People can be encouraged by your praise (admiration and gratitude to God) and worship (love, respect, bowing down, and prayer to God), because if they see you doing it they'll do it. Praise and worship are important to God and beneficial and inportant for us too. David praised Him by dance (2 Samuel 6:14) and Hannah worshipped Him by prayer (1 Samuel 2:1-10). They understood its significance.
Although hallelujah is high praise, so are many other words. To say loving words to God brings us closer to Him. And when we go to Him as we are with a posture of our sincere thanks, that's honoring Him too.
