Yes, you are wonderfully made in the eyes of God. |
Doing so can be emotionally dangerous and can lead to a false sense of self. In other words, if it's perceived that someone is doing better than us, then that tends to make us feel bad about ourselves. And if it appears someone is doing worse than us, then that tends to make us feel good about ourselves.
Both scenarios are wrong and unrealistic. Why even bother? Comparison serves no good purpose.
If we know who we are then we are confident in walking in our own skin. There is something about each one of us that is worth more than gold. In fact, there are several things about us that are more valuable than gold. Better yet, there's an entire treasure trove of greatness about us that should be cherished simply because God creates beautiful and wonderful masterpieces in His people. All of His people.
God never makes mistakes.
Compare yourself to no one. "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works" (Psalms 139:14). God made you perfect (inside and outside) just the way you are, so you're good to go.
