Bye, Baggage

Enough is Enough
A goodbye note to baggage:

Dear Baggage:

You have to go.

We have to keep it more real than ever before, so we're going to tell you for the last time, what is going to happen starting now. We're tired of taking you everywhere. It's time to start a new, because you have been weighing us down for years. It's time for us to start afresh and to rebuild, so we are bidding you adieu. That's right, bye bye.

You have come for the ride for far too long now and we don't have much to show for it. You have cost and caused us too much -- friends, relationships, money, health, pain, defeat, anger, mistrust, depression, the list is endless. We let you control our emotions and run our lives for so many years we can't even count. We are turning all that pain into gain, so it's alright though. We will now be able to help those who went through it. So Baggage, you didn't win, we won.

We cried our last tear of shame, blame, and regret.

We are done with you. You ran the show for a long time, but not anymore. It's not too late for us to begin again. We know what the Lord told us, we know what His word says, we know we are magnificent and beautiful in His eyes. And that's all we need to know to move forward with sheer determination that this time things will work out well for us. That's right, we are leaving the old behind and the new is here.

We are walking in faith as we trust God and as we forge boldly ahead saying, no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper again.

It's a new day.

Love,

A New Me

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
